Joey, just like Jacob, had a rough start in high school. Before becoming Jacob’s first love, he was beaten to an inch of his life the summer before his freshman year at El Paso High School. No one landed up paying for the wrong because they claim that Joey was hitting on them, when they told him several times that they were straight. In return they got away with almost killing Joey.
He then met Jacob the first week of their freshman year and it was love at first sight. They started out with a friendship, which eventually became more than that.
They fought like normal couples, but neither of them left the other. By going through growing pains together, they were able to lean on each other when ever they hit a rock roll. Because of that, they got stronger and able to deal with what ever was thrown their direction.
