Austin High School is the second oldest school in El Paso Texas. Located on the central side of EL Paso, off of Memphis St.
Jacob attended this high school his freshman year, where he met Joey and became best friends and boyfriends. This is where Jacob also was shot in the story and Joey was beaten up the summer before his freshman year.
There are four pictures in the slide show so you can get a feel of where the story started. You can see the quad in one of the photos where Joey was beaten up, as well as the front of the school where the shooting took place. Whgat was the enrollment for Austin High. I notice that both schools had a V but Austin is a V shaped as a V turned dwith the front doors being V with the front doors being below the V on the Austin High School building while the Newman High School the the front doors are inside the V with the being inverted.
