Pain did not always follow Logan. Every bruise handed down by Jack serves as a reminder of better days. Accepting his fate, Logan continues through life the best way he knows how. Cheating, stealing, and skipping school fills the teen’s days as he waits for his chance to get away unnoticed. His smoking buddy Jimmy, however, speeds up the process and the boys hit the road.
Note From The Author:
This story began as a Creative Writing assignment towards my degree in English, and I have decided to continue it to the end. The story of its coming to be is actually somewhat humorous. I sometimes have a tendency to enjoy a little wine as I type or do my homework, and that never works well the next day. When I arrived in my second week of class, the instructor informed us that we were going to be pitching our story ideas that day. Cursing life (and myself), I decided to pitch an idea that I have already written about. I know many of you have been following ’15 And Life to Go’. Logan is Nate reincarnate, although their stories differ even one chapter in. I was never planning to do another ‘prison story’, but now that the story is in my head, I must finish. I also had to come up with a title for the story… I did in fact steal Jacob’s title “Shadow of ….” just for a grade. Sue me 😛 I would like to thank my new editor, Jason, for all his hard work on this project. I’m not the easiest to work with, and a lot of times my writing is atrocious. Without him, I would have gotten a B or worse!

I had the privilege of being the first person to read this story being on the spot so to speak and i realized as a fellow author that my writings pale into insignificance compared to Brian’s.
He has a way with words which leaves me in awe. Maybe its the wine and I should try that or is it just his super intelligence.
No matter what he has penned a brilliant story worthy of being on any bookshelf.
